Editor's Note: Those who've been following this page for a while know we have an occasional mystery contributor, known to us only by the nom de plume of "SarcDamTastic." Yesterday's news of Trump's four new indictments brought him out of hiding. Enjoy it . . . for what it is. (And, no . . . SarcDamTastic is not Steve Baker's alter ego.)
Oh, what the hell, Florida is thriving, people are free, taxes are low, budgets are balanced, tax cuts have been given, and the state is solidly conservative and Republican now - but oh hell no we don’t want that for the other 49 states too.
No, we’d rather sit here and watch the Democrat's Psy Ops Machine indict Donald Trump right into the nomination, playing on the Goober mentality of a good chunk of the Republican base. And damned if it might not work. (Might not, too. More on that in a minute.) Who wants freedom and low tax rates when you can have drama and melodrama and spittle flying?
And make no mistake, helping Trump is the game afoot here. Every time the Dems indict Trump, his poll numbers and fundraising goes up. PERIOD. They have noticed this trend. Have you?
This is what the left, the media, the Dems, etc, want more than anything. Maybe not all of them - perhaps a few still fear Trump - or loathe him so much they cannot think straight - but this is what the Garland Machine at the DOJ is doing.
Duh. Or is it NO DUH?
These J6 charges are beyond absurd. Even Daniel Ortega is blushing. Trump is clearly a political victim. And true - this is an existential threat to our way of life and our Republic. No doubt. BUT: Victimhood is not a qualification for election. However, a lot of Republicans will vote that way simply because they think that’s the only way to fight back. The problem is, they, and Trump, should have fought back a LOT SOONER and a LOT HARDER on behalf of the J6 Gulag victims. They are rotting like feces in San Fransisco in the summer sun. And barely a peep out of anyone - Trump included.
And the squishy Republicans in Congress . . . no offense to squishies intended . . . are trying to ignore this and hope it goes away.
Well, damn. J6 just came back and sat its fat ass down and it’s not going away. Period.
And this is where Garland might’ve stepped on his own dick - quite a feat given how obviously tiny it is - and blown the deal. They did not NEED to indict Trump again. Not now. Besides, now they’ve made it impossible for scummy phony Jim "Big Tech" Jordan and Kevin “Let’s Spoon Frank Luntz” McCarthy to ignore all issues J6 anymore. Maybe the “weaponization” committee will grow a pair. Or maybe at least they will grow one . . . something!
AND . . . this is where it gets good . . . this gives Ron DeSantis - and anyone else on the Republican side who has not responded strongly enough on J6 - a big fat mulligan. Just like DJT on Sunday afternoon at Trump National. Mulligan, baby! A do-over. DeSantis's response today was 4 stars out of 5. That fifth star is still out there for him . . . "YES, I WILL PARDON DONALD TRUMP when I am President . . . on DAY ONE." Every Republican should declare that, for what it’s worth - and the same for all J6 prisoners NOT CAUGHT ON VIDEO COMMITTING VIOLENCE. (For the record, only a small percentage actually did.)
BUT . . .
I’m sure Mike Pence and Asa Hutchinson and Nikki Haley and Tim Scott will do something bold like insisting, “We stay calm and let the system play out,” or some such bullsh-t as that . . . which is why they’ll continue to fight over that 5% combined primary vote. Like Chris Chrispy when the hot donut sign goes on.
But why the hell are we talking about this anyway? This is not doing anyone any good. I guess I”m gonna HAVE to move to Florida . . . when we should all have Florida throughout the nation. What a freaking waste.
