There is a reason -- at least obvious to me -- why the usual suspects in the mainstream January 6 media cartel have immediately and in lock-step circled wagons around the DOJ/Pelosi/McConnell preferred narrative following Tucker Carlson's disappointingly minimal release of previously unseen Capitol CCTV video. Those voices -- many of whom I shared the media room with at the DC District courthouse, during the first Oath Keepers trial -- have claimed the release of allegedly "exculpatory" video evidence has long been available to J6 defense teams . . . so, "what's the big deal?" they ask. (Many of those defense attorneys vehemently disagree.)
What is the reason behind their "no big deal" response? Judging from the fact they were joined in opposition by the likes of GOP Senators McConnell, Tillis, Romney, and others, I'd argue we might be seeing a collective concern, (or fear?), that their two years of carefully constructed and maintained narrative could be razed by unrestricted public access to all the available video and other evidentiary sources now coming to light.
More importantly, MSM journos fail to acknowledge -- and this is significantly the case in the most highly-politicized, largest spate of criminal cases in US history, (and even if the defense attorneys had unrestricted access) -- if the MSM doesn't give equal time in their coverage of potentially exculpatory video evidence, then to the rest of the nation, it simply doesn't exist. Especially in DC, where the jury pool has been effectively pre-programmed -- by a relentless and one-sided presentation of inculpatory "news reports" -- into a predetermined and reliable outcome for the government's prosecutors. (Yes, the DOJ's entire team of "Capitol Riots Detailees" are confidently aware of this reality, and it's why every motion for a 'Change of Venue' has been denied.)
I've said this a thousand times, as one of my top-3 TPC Axioms: "If NYT, NPR, and NBC don't say it . . . then it never happened." And that's absolutely true in the awareness of at least half the country. Contrary to the MSM and Capitol Hill reactions, (from both Dems and Repubs), Tucker didn't show "selectively edited" videos. He began his segment last week by specifically showing a clip of a video containing violent scenes and stating that we've all seen that violence, non-stop for two years. He then showed a small handful of minutes of some things the American people had never seen . . . and the MSM pitched a hissy fit.
Their kneejerk response: "What difference does it make? The defense attorneys had access and could have used it in their trials." (Maybe. Maybe not.) But why didn't THEY show it to the American people? They also bragged that their "coalition of media partners" were largely responsible for what they had been able to show in their news reports and documentaries. Fine. Well and good. Yet, in all that, they never explain why they left out -- and continue to leave out -- the 'other side' of the J6 story. Hmmm? Because, frankly . . . "If NYT, NPR, and NBC don't say it . . . then it never happened."
Now we have the emerging story of the 80-100 boxes of documents leftover from the original J6 House Select Committee. (Something I told my Locals followers about a couple of weeks ago). We now have irrefutable proof they do exist. House Reps. Matt Gaetz and Dan Bishop appeared on Tim Pool's podcast, Friday, and not only confirmed their existence but spent quite a bit of time discussing what they saw while rifling through the boxes, and how and why their content should be digitized and released to the public. (As those videos should also be.) But . . . where's the MSM on that story? Another treasure trove of J6 evidence, but, as usual, "If NYT, NPR, and NBC don't say it . . . then they don't exist." (In fairness, Politico gave a brief insinuation about their existence, three weeks ago. But, that's it.)
And now, Tucker has seemingly gone silent on that 40,000+ hours of video. Despite his much-hyped leadup to last Monday's debut of this massive amount of unseen data, we only got to see: the QAnonShaman's personal escort by Capitol Police; Ofc. Brian Sicknick still alive and well after he was supposed to have been killed; Sen. Hawley's expanded sprint-to-escape reveal; and a rehash telling of Ray Epps. Is that it?
Even Tucker's Tuesday night interview of former Capitol Police Lt. Tarik Johnson had little to do with the video reveal. Is it over? Will Tucker & Team give us more? Have they been shut down? If so . . . by who? (It's a legitimate question being asked by a lot of people.)
As my Locals followers already know . . . Tucker's producers reached out to me for ideas about what they should be looking for in all that video. I gave them several ideas. They ran with the Lt. Johnson story, but have ignored my suggestion about a far more blockbuster story which I know exists in those videos. The last I heard from them, they said, "Johnson is incredible. Thanks for the lead. We'll be back in touch, soon." (Paraphrased, but accurate.) I've subsequently prodded them on that 'other' story, but they have stopped responding.
What's going on? We know the rest of the Fox News hosts have also ignored Tucker's story. Has Murdoch shut him down? More importantly, will Speaker McCarthy now keep his promise to release that 40,000+ hours of video to the American people? At the very least, those MSM wagon-circlers and Palace Guards have publicly stated their agreement this should happen. So, what are we waiting on?
